What I am Reading
Nov. 17th, 2004 01:24 amJust finished "Dime Store Magic" by Kelley Armstrong. I like to classify it in contemporary fantasy, though it is usually filed in horror. Sterotyping and all that. The first two books in the series focus on werewolves, thus it is horror. Oh, and the series is Women of the Otherworld. In this one, the women are Paige and Savannah, a pair of orphaned witches. As the older one, Paige becomes involved in a custody battle with the evil corparation of supernaturals run by Savannah's father. Trust me, it is an exciting story, full of scumbag lawyers raised from the dead, and good lawyers riding motorcycles. I recommend it. Really. Thankfully, I have book 4 (came out this month) waiting for me for tomorrow.
Though first is to go work on my essay. To make myself feel better about completing tasks I set myself.
Oh, and Jorge's Hamster (Chelsea 2, Evil Hamster of Doom) is planning on taking over the world. Thankfully Grep and Grok sleep atop her cage and thwart her nefarious plans. Such brave and cunning cats, with butts they insist on showing off.
