I could explain why all the ex Navy vets I know were Nukes, because I hang around smart people. I could explain why my buddy joined up to be a Nuke, because he is smart and hung around ex Nukes. But when my cousin is determined to go Nuke? I give up.

Nukes get the big bonus. Thus, it's attractive.

As the USN has nuclear submarines and aircraft carriers, it needs technicians to make them work. Kind of like nukees, but in a military setting and not at a college. And 2 years training. It's what Aurora, her man and I were originally recruited to the navy for, and what Will is training for. Now they're recruiting my cousin.
