This Week's WTF Russia
Dec. 18th, 2009 08:13 pmRussian musical of the Snow Queen. So far the story is being told straight/normal. I want the Snow Queen's dress. And her driver (he's a polar bear).
ETA: Actually, the random saleslady has an even better dress. Aqua with feather puffs on head and forearms. And pink boots.
ETA2: And here's a clip of the Flower Fairy's song.
ETA3: OMG the bandits' song is great. As is the hat with ears. And Kay (love interest/boy stolen by the snow queen) is worthless. I hate his singing style. And his ugly sweaters. But other than that, this would be a fun movie for costumers.

Date: 2009-12-19 07:22 am (UTC)For me, though, (as Estonians ARE self centered. Small nations often are. Or, may-be, we just suspect that, as most people do not know we exist, we REALLY do not exist at all?)first that comes to mind is Rotaru and Joala singing together:

And those Russian language musical songs kill me! One of my "take away my stress" favorites:

Date: 2009-12-20 07:38 pm (UTC)Since I live in giant country, I've ID with my small home state (well, small in population. Size wise it is about four times as big has Estonia, but about half as many people).
Sadly, I think MHz played Cinderella a couple of weeks ago, when the antenna is out. Hopefully they'll replay it sometime. It has been good for me to practice/relearn some of my Russian.
