Learning Everyday
Apr. 24th, 2010 08:43 pmAs per suggestion, I joined ravelry and found a local knitting group. Not sure about trading yarn for products, but a nice group of people who taught me to knit (again). And pointed me to a good website to learn from (knittinghelp.com) with videos. Videos are much easier than diagrams. Using them I taught myself how to purl. I'll practice that for awhile, and then start alternating. See how far I can get teaching myself before the next meeting.
Any one got basic (very simple) fingerless mitt pattern suggestions?
ETA: For no good reason (or short one) I strung up my inkle loom with my favorite tablet weaving pattern. This is much easier using the warping board than the backwards way I've done before.
