Wandering Alone
Feb. 26th, 2005 04:30 pmI took advantage of the nice weather to walk downtown. Proof that wherever I roam, Lawrence is home (or one of them). I love wandering through my favorite stores and smelling the wonderful restaurants. I had my chai and read my book.
The walk by myself helped me consider my future in a new light. I have been avoiding thinking about which university I will pick until I get more data on acceptance and financing. My realization today is that I have categorized the schools into ones that prepare me for settling down and ones that are studies for fun. This is tied to my fears that I am finally becoming an adult, or should be. You know, that I should stop making life changing decisions by what will be more fun, instead of planning. I'm not sure I'm ready for planning yet, actually. I want to make decision on what would be more fun (crazy, silly, not thought out). But I am not going to tie myself to a choice yet. Something more interesting might come up.
