Of sorts. Been gaming a good amount this semester (so far). I went to KUGAR the first Wednesday of classes. After spending an hour in an actual "business" meeting (discussing that we should really do something other than just game, but socialize in some other way), I joined a Mage: The Awakening game with people from the Vampire game). I've since discovered that I just am not getting my head into the new Mage society. I liked the old system (thanks to reading all the tradition books one weekend at Shaf's place).

At the second KUGAR meeting, Curtis listened in, and invited everyone to a Hunter game on Sundays. I made sure to invite Mel, for some female balance (which means the game has three vets, each from a different service. I would invite Matt to sit in if he's around at some point for completeness, and there are three vet characters, but I'm not one of them). This is turning out to be a very fun campaign. The one player that annoyed me somewhat in the first game (Curt's roomate) has since dropped out. We weren't going to play on Sunday because of GM's parental visit, but that's canceled. I really like my character for this game - spoiled rich kid. But she is pretty effective at talking her (and the party) out of trouble. Or finding something useful when the party is attacking the monster of the week. And starting at a sane hour (1) means that I get to bed at a decent time (11-midnight).

But I skipped the third Mage game on account of a headache. And three player's didn't show this week, so it was also canceled. Though I had plenty of chat time with Jacob (who fascinates me in a way similar to Matt). And he's starting a D&D campaign on Friday. I said I'd play, but drop out if it got to much.

I'm currently rereading Cherryh's Morgaine series. And loving Morgaine. And I just realized she's somewhat of a female Elric (of Melniboné, not Full Metal Alchemist). But it is obscure enough (most of my group is not insane about reading SFF as I am) that I think I can do a character based on her/referencing her without being obvious.

Meanwhile - still going to anime club and cosplay. I talk to people.

Edit Also decided that I'm gaming enough it is time to get a copy of my favorite out of print game, Amber (and the second sourcebook Shadow Knight), even though none of my current group has even heard of it (or the original Zelanzy novels - see earlier comment about reading). Thankfully most of the online used bookstores I checked had copies (wasn't true the last time I checked, back in 2000 or so).
