Stress Living
May. 10th, 2006 09:10 pmWhy does it take this much for me to get off my butt? I hate it and love it. I'm in the dreamy sleep deprived, stress mode when I can get things done. I just doubt I'll make much sense tomorrow, either for said presentation or while teaching. Currently in office because the ARC lab reboots at nine, so I thought I'd take a break (current step requires ARC, then I go back to the Geophysics lab to run matlab, I hate expensive propretary programs that I don't have an illegal copy off, and don't have a good open source version). In related news, I figured out my login and password in the geophysics lab after about 15 tries. Go me, didn't have to figure out who is admin these days.
Oh, and I have a wonderful boyfriend. I have to actually work on campus tonight, and plan to sleep in my office. But if I get done at a reasonable hour, I asked him what is to late to call to get a ride home.. 4 p.m. The man is willing to wake up to come and pick me up so I can sleep with him for a few hours at home. This after caring for my sick ass last week, and taking care of my cats and buying me a great bike the week before. And he's single handiedly keeping me in grad school.

Date: 2006-05-11 09:10 am (UTC)Thank you. I don't often tell people outright about what I like about Tom, because it seem very uncouth. I sure as hell hint it, as most people realize I have few close friends that I hang out with other than him right now. Part of it is our personalities, which feed off each other. But I am glad I decided to come back to Lawrence and try again with him. 'Cause it is one in a million.
(Now watch it all explode like Tom Cruise's head)
