Longish Post

I haven't updated in a bit. Mostly dealing with the blah of break. I love having time off. I just hate that I am so bad at getting stuff done when I have so much free time. I've gotten some stuff done. I've been cooking at lot more, withthree new recipes this week alone. I haven't sewn any big projects, but I've done a good amount of basic maintaince (hemming, patching, beading, suchlike). And I'm four inches into a scarf, my first ever knitting project and it's at the stage that it is relaxing.

But nothing on research. Or organizing my maps.

Also, I'm worried about my Grandpa Nelson. Last I heard, he's doing better. But I'm continually debating whether I should drive up and see him. I love my grandpa. I'm going up to SoDak this weekend for Clive's wedding, so I think I'll skip classes either Friday or Monday in order to see him, if he's still doing well. We'll see. Tom's busy this week, so maybe Monday.

Classes start on Friday. Eeep! At least I don't start teaching until next Wednesday, and that's just the intro class. Bought book for Volcanology. GIS is going to be new, so I'm trying to decide if it's worth the effort of ordering off Amazon, or buy new from the bookstore. Probably go expensive, since I don't seem to have to buy one for Mech II. And trying to decide if I'm going to add the Volcanology field trip. It would make a lot of credits this semester, but it seems a shame to take volcanology without the field trip. And I'm itchy this semester. Hmm..

why not go on the feild trip? it would be lots of fun. at least i think it would be... where would you be going?

My reluctance has to do with number of credits. I'm already enrolled in 10 credits, and the field trip is another 2 credits. Hmm.. Seems a shame though.
