Cleaning When Pissy
Jan. 5th, 2006 04:12 amSo I've had a couple of days to stew on the whole building thing. I've gotten calmer about it, but Tom keeps getting me riled up. Mostly about the lack of thought. Actually paced off (then measured) the proposed driveway. Yep, whoever made these plans did a terrible job surveying. The trees (required to be saved because of zoning) are where the driveway will actually be. And so forth. But having the landlord coming is a great excuse to clean, which I did all afternoon. Picked up downstairs (thankfully Jorge had vacuumed while we were gone), scrubbed all the countertops and sinks, swept the back patio. Just really curious what the landlord is going to say.
Edit:
Do not interupt me, ever. Pissy fight with landlord, but stuck to guns to get what we wanted. 30 days notice before he digs, and lease up then. Hate getting angery to get what I want (am owed?). Landlord seems to think that we only rented the house, and not even the back patio. WTF? Or that we'd respond to threats. Guess we ain't going to start much of a garden. And Tom's theory of why he went to the board turned out to be right - getting permission before the area is rezoned. Still annoyed that I got mad. But the man would not let me finish a thought.
