What is this White Stuff?

affrecaThe weather has gotten distinctly wintery today. Not just cold (we're running through natural gas like crazy), but this freaky white stuff. Lots of it. Falling. The field trip was canceled today, so I came home early, after sending the kiddies off with grade estimates. I feel better looking at lab grades, most were in the 80s. Tests grades brought most people down. And I think I was a bit easy on a couple of students with make-ups. But don't feel like being mean after being nice.
In other news, here's a hard ethical issue for you all. I feel bad for the daughter. I understand the mother's pain, but that's going to be hard discussion about why Mommy sued the NHS.
Oh, and edge of listening caught NPR quoting someone saying that Kansas has the worst science education in the nation. Go us!
