Beautiful Bled

So I ended up staying three nights in Bled (actually, I am in a small village outside of Bled). The first day I went rafting down the Sava River, then yesterday walked around Lake Bled and went to Bled castle. Everything is much cheaper than Switzerland, but the views are just as good. And they have purple wildflowers (I only saw yellow and white ones any where else).

Onto Ljubljana today. Staying at Celica, a converted prison. And everyone talks up Ljubljana as the new Prague, without all the tourists yet. Should be neat.

As for weather, it has cleared up wonderfully. Had a brief 5 minute thunderstorm yesterday, just enough to cool it down.

Having only traveled out of the country one time (Panama) where the heck are you? What country? Do you have a defined path or just a wandering course wherever your fancy takes you? I see you are going to Croatia so know where that is - but where is Bled?

Actually, I am currently in Ljubljana, which is the capital of Slovenia, one of the countries created out of the former Yugoslavia. This is the one that has been mostly peaceful. Bled was in the north part of Slovenia. This is not to be confused with Slovakia, which used to be with Czech republic.
