Better Mood Now

affrecaStill not sure about research topics, but at least stats is a boring class, as I expected. Biggest math class I've been in a while (not that I've been in any for a while). But I am a student. And I shall always associate the smell of formaldehyde with learning math (entomology is in the small building for unknown reasons).
Oh, and I had never realized that Linda Hamilton and Ron Perlman were in Beauty and the Beast together. When I think of them, I think of that show, but somehow the link between them never occured to me.
And my library ceiling has been repaired. Two nights ago, I was quietly typing away, when I heard crashing noises from upstairs. Then Barry came racing down the stairs, all puffy tailed. He stopped in the dining room, and looked spooked and guilty. I went upstairs to figure out what he'd knocked over. My room was fine, as was Tom's, and Jorge's was closed off. All the boxes in the attic closet where still stacked up. Then Tom called me into the library. There was a bit of ceiling tile that had been hanging low and gapped. Now it was on the ground. It had been just within reach of a cat sitting on the top of the six foot tall shelves, which Barry likes sitting on. So, called the landlord (not mentioning my cat's involvement) and the repair guy came over. He patched it (with different tiles, since these apparently haven't been made in years) and asked if we minded the washers helping hold the screws into the joists. As long as they hold, I don't mind the bright orange washers, not at all.
Hoping my sis is safe on the roads, and giving her all my love.
