Unemployed and Loving It

affrecaI hope I can keep doing this sort of thing. Currently on my week off, prepping for my train trip. Or not, though I should be. Did make a trip to Union Station in KC to get the rest of my train reservations, as the phone system was not working. Amtrak is not the most organized organization, I've discovered. Union Station is very neat. Recently renovated, and looks awesome, but no one there. Great science gift store. Anyone want a bacteria farm for Christmas. I almost do. Though the chocolate store was subpar. Thankfully they had samples out, so I could discover this before I spent $2.25 on one truffle.
So contemplating umber vs. ember vs. amber. All very different things, with different vastly different etymologies, but evoke similiar color associations. I wouldn't mind something that has all those colors in it. Oh, and ambergris is the most disgusting food idea I've ever heard about.
Lilies was fun. Great to see everyone. All excited about SCA again, but not sure if I'm ambitious enough to make it work for myself. I am a shy person, and the local group never seemed my type. Apparently I'm not the first to realize Svathy was a very good group. Ack, plenty of time to navel gaze in a week.
