I broke down and took Lou to the vet. Last week her neck scabs turned into sores again, and it wasn't clearing up on its own. I called yesterday and was able to set up an appointment for this morning before I headed off to work. The one benefit of my schedule (though it isn't helping my medical issues any, planned parenthood is only open late on Mondays and for the last two Mondays has been closed). Back to Dr. Bayueth, who suspects my cat has allergies (there is a different term, but roughly equivalent). So Lou got another shot, and some pills to take when the shot wears off. First is to see if it is seasonal. Craziness. But she has hives on her ears! She was very snuggly throughout the exam, trying to bury her head into me. And still friendly to the vet. And at least she doesn't have a maggot. Vets hate that first thing in the morning.
