Not Good at Posting
Oct. 10th, 2021 07:27 pmBut have a picture from last month's road trip, of the ocean from Big Sur.
Since then, I've kept myself busy with work, hiking and recently spinning.
With work, the turn of the fiscal year and trying to finish tasks on the site consuming my attention before the turn of the fiscal year, and funding takes weeks to get back to us. Which got further complicated when our project manager had a heart attack in the office a few days beforehand. Last updates are that she's doing as well as expected, walking around with broken ribs (coworkers performed CPR and used the AED until the EMTs arrived). The last week was a lot easier, which lead to more procrastination than is good for me.
Hiking. Lawnchair and I took a number of short hikes on our trip, and had to turn back earlier than I wanted to. This combined with the local outdoor company shifting to weekly hikes and ads for the 52 hike challenge. I'm three weeks and and seven hikes into trying to reach 52 hikes in less than a year. The longest was 10 miles, as a test before signing up for the longest hike of the outdoor company's year (originally scheduled for two days of 10 mile hikes). So instead I went out biking with Lawnchair today. While we turned back when he was tiring, my legs are sore now.
Spinning. Last week was the replacement of Spinzilla, Spin Together. I did not get close to my original goal, and spun up only 12 ounces of 24 ounce gradient. I haven't measure my length yet, will do tomorrow.
