Yeah, so I failed my plan of finishing projects in February. At first it was, let's just finish what's on the wheel, so I did. So last Monday I finished plying three wool/flax blends. On Tuesday my Paradise fiber box arrived with two nice Gotland blends in white and black (or really dark grey). Somehow I thought Gotland was tough and wiry, but these were so soft. So the white went into the dyepot with some grey and purple (I think I was influenced by the lavender oil that came in the box, and I'm grateful that lavender scent isn't a migraine trigger). The black was difficult to spin consistently as the blend was so loose and included viscose tweedy bits. The dyed fiber was much easier to be consistent, though I think I was a little to fine (19 wpi). I ended up with ~300 yard of light fingering from the black, and ~400 yard of lighter fingering shading from light purple to deep. I think the Half the Knit Sky pattern should work, though possibly on smaller needles. I'm going to play around with needle size today, so I can hopefully just knit during tomorrow's four hours of training on MMRP (military munitions response program).

After I was tasked last with a project because I was the only technical staff to take a three hour training on one aspect, I asked to take this longer course. My boss is happy because we're trying to grab more of this type of work (and hired an explosive expert last fall)
