I got my master spinner homework back with it's marking. I'm frustrated, partially with feeling frustrated with myself. I can do better, but for various immature reasons, I procrastinated, and so did not review some of my work.

Instead of facing the bits I need to be more conscious of (to much twist in singles and plying) or reviewing my written work, I am focused on the bits that I think I shouldn't have gotten marked down for - like my wool/silk blends being 75%/25% instead of 50%/50%. Except 75/25 is what my assignment book said. Or that I included my end use on in my text, not on the labels, and only the breed study exercise asks for end use. In the description of what needs to be on the labels, it does not say end use, so I included it in my text. Or that my sample skeins are slightly less than 10 yards. They're 10 times around my 1 yard niddy noddy - exactly how the book says to measure them. Yes, we all know that they shrink when off the niddy noddy because wool is elastic, but the standard is as measured on the niddy noddy. Is it worth argueing with my instructor - probably not because I passed. But I'm fucking pissed about being graded on things that are not in the assignments as written.

So, this is why I don't want to do the next level. I had feeling like I'm not old enough to let this slide off without harshing my mood. I should be able to deal with this sort of thing by now.

Sympathies, though--it's irritating when arbitrary things collide.
