High visibility work task is completed, or at least my part. There's a couple of niggling outstanding issues, but they're not my call. Now I just have to get through - day working in office to get scanning and mapping done, day working my local polling station (first time for me), and site visit to my least favorite site that someday I might hand off to newest geologist. And hope that I'm not getting a cold.

Good news in non-work life - I got the email that the grader has finished with my homework and I've passed level 1 of the master spinner course. It's only been almost two months since I sent in my homework. Question is do I sign up for level 2. I'm confident of my abilities to spin, dye and blend, but I'm not confident about my abilities to do homework in a timely fashion. I should decide in the next couple of months so I can try to get some done during my holiday vacation. I was convinced when I sent in my homework that I wasn't going to try to do level 2 on my own... but I've already forgotten the stress of dealing with my procrastination.

If you didn't do level 2 on your own (but still did it), how would you approach it?

Ah, I see. I looked at the master knitter qualification a year ago and came away with similar thoughts (do I need that validation?), since the knitting one, at least, expects a person to work mostly on their own until the evaluation. I think it'd be interesting to team up with a few people or have occasional input/guidance from a master, but doing it oneself just for eval seems less useful to me.
