Obsessions
My obsessions are spinning and travel, with sides of knitting and reading.
I finally started one large spinning project (combo spin with combo draft) and started second guessing myself halfway through the first bobbin. I'm not sure if I want to change my plan or keep on. On the other hand, I've got so many other spinning projects planned with supplies bought, I decided to just put that project on hold. So this evening I started on of the other planned projects. It's also a combo spin, but with tonals. It will be a two ply, with one being a combo draft of tonal dark brown rambouillet and blue-purple merino silk flax blend (from Nest) and the second one is combo drafted tonal dark purple (from the same dyer as the brown) rambouillet and purple/tan/grey polwarth silk flax blend (from Hipstrings bought at my last class at PlyAway 2019). I made a small sample to make sure the colors worked, then started on the first bobbin. It ends u p being a variable muted purple. Which is on brand for me.
As for travel, I am totally lost in googling around on things to see on my next trip, a road trip through the northwest with Lawnchair. I have route basically planned and stuff I want to stop and see every day. Lots of geology and landscape, very little cultural. I've reached out to a high school friend to hopefully get coffee. Haven't decided if I want to out to random uncle and do dinner.
