Instant Pot Beef Stew

1.5 lb stew beef (cut up)
2 small onions (cut to bite size)
3 cloves garlic 
4 carrots (cut to bite size)
2 potatoes  (cut to bite size)
1.5 cup left over beef broth/flavor
1 tbsp baharat spice mix
1 tbsp tomato paste concentrate

In instant pot on saute mode, brown the beef in a small bit of oil in two batches, stirring minimally (3 minutes, stir, 3 minutes).  Pull beef out and cook onions for a few minutes, scraping as much brown bits off the bottom as possible.  Mince (with garlic press) and add garlic.  After half a minute, add beef broth, again trying to scrape off browned bits from the bottom.  Return beef and add carrots, potatoes and spice mix.  Stir, then add tomato paste on top.  Cook at high pressure for 35 minutes, then let natural release for 10 minutes.

Note to self: After running out of baharat spice mix, can use combination of no salt seasoning and red pepper. Also, can of beef stock + left over Arby's dipping sauce. Finally, if so, can add 1 cup of quinoa after cooking, and slow cook for 30 minutes.

Or mix own baharat mix:
1 tsp ground nutmeg
1 tsp paprika
1/2 tsp ground coriander
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp ground cloves
1/2 tsp ground cumin
1/2 tsp salt
some ground cardamom
