Fiber Monday

affrecaAs to not bury the lede, I got the job. I'm supposed to get the job offer tomorrow morning, then I need to start the salary negotiation. I'd like get enough of a raise to offset the increased commute cost and out of state taxes. I get to talk to my boss tomorrow about transition, and nag him about scheduling interviews for replacing the employee that left two months ago.
Recently, my knitting has been socks. I was feeling burned out on sweaters, and wanted something smaller to bring on my November trips. I finished purple socks mid November, yellow ones late November, and have since been working on some magenta and blue ones. I tried magic loop for the first time on the purple ones, and have since decided that is much better than the two on two needle method I'd been doing.
I have also been spinning. Saturday I finished 12 ounces of green BFL into fingering weight yarn. I think it will become a short sleeve sweater. After finishing plying that, I restarted the purple merino/silk I'd put aside in early fall. I've spun up 2 of the 8 ounces so far. I'm hoping to have a week of time between jobs so I can have a staycation and spin.
