More Pictures of New Wheel
Mar. 23rd, 2012 09:08 pmSo I wanted to make it all pretty and working. I rubbed it down good with the wood wax and food stuff I used on the Traveler, then rubbed off the excess. Then I carefully reassembled it, scavenging a leather thong for the treadle to footman connection and carpet warp for the drive band. I oiled the moving parts, and treadled for a while. Then I tried to spin. Somethings not working right, because I have horrid take up. I'm not sure if it is a double drive issue, or a drive band issue.

The picture posted on Craigslist. Not all the pieces are even in the picture. I really did not expect a workable wheel, but I was interested in the table loom and figured for the price I might as well look at it.

This is all the pieces after I oiled them, but before I put it back together. Buddy is supervising.

And it all put together. Note the wood floor underneath. The theme downstairs is becoming wood.
