Just Being An Adult

affrecaI've made it a year at my job, and had my yearly review today (which was really a three month review, since I changed supervisor's midyear). I celebrated with mead during my nightly bath. Denise's mead is mellowness in bottle, so I'm about ready to go to bed.
Also, realized that my supervisor was starting KU's geology program about when I graduated. Then I reminded myself that I turn eight next year, so I'm actually not that old.
Happy Solistice. I have a fire burning in celebration. For anything else, I'll wait for this weekend.
This makes me smile so much. And tear up a little. Not my grandpa's Navy, but sure is mine!
