Does silk thread break easily when being used for serging? I ask because I adjusted my serger for rolled hems and put in silk thread, and the thread keeps breaking. I'm trying to figure out if it is the serger or the thread.
Filament shouldn't, but staple might, depends more on the quality of the thread and not the serger. Then again, if tension is bad then it is the serger. Did you rethread it with normal and see how that did?
It was sewing fine with the black thread I had in earlier, but I had to rethread for the silk, and I'm afraid I rethreaded wrong. I'm to headachey right now to try to figure it out.
The silk is from dharma. I don't think it is filament. I'm going to be sad if the dharma silk is the problem.
