Half Hearted Gardening

Not going crazy this year. Planted our first seeds today - packet of spinach. I also poked around the other beds. Both asparagus beds are doing well, but I'm ignoring them for a bit longer so they get properly established. Strawberries are flowering, so noms soon. I thought about harvesting the flowering turnips, but the bees love the flowers. We have a few onions that survived the onion bed's tilling last fall, and a few spinach plants amongst the henbet that has currently taken it over. There's one leek that survived my neglect. The potted herbs are back, or at least the mint and cilantro. I don't see any Thai basil or chives in the pots. Let's hear it for reseeding and perennials!
