Lawnchair is a Big Meanie
Nov. 14th, 2010 11:33 amI brought back my shadow box from the farm about a year ago. I got it as a Christmas present as a teenager. This was after I'd stopped collecting miniatures, so I'd never really filled it. Lawnchair has started a quest to clean the garage, so I brought it out to clean and hang up. Which lead to reorganizing the shadowbox (removing things I didn't care about, adding the dragons that fit). I still have 8 empty spots, so I checked ebay for pewter dragons. After giggling at the guy with 11 miniatures for $250 and the assurance that they were a potential investment, and the vintage 1990 dragon, and the one that looks like one I already own, Lawnchair won't let me buy a set of 4 for $10. Well, at least he's adding pan flutes, a bus, his eagle scout award and Buddha to the shadowbox.
Note: please do not buy me miniatures for Christmas. Honestly, I have enough.
ETA: Final contents of shadow box include: panflute from Peru, a bus, 6 dragons, 5 cats, a vacuum tube alien, 3 rocks, a pair of clogs, a pegasus with one wing broken off, an eagle scout award, a stone turtle, a lamb missing one ear, a raccoon with no tail, an inaccurate globe, a bell, a Don't Panic pin, and Buddha. Random enough?
