I have central air again. The part Lawnchair thought he needed still didn't show up in the mail. Doing some research, he found a industrial supply store that had parts. Which didn't have the capacitor in stock, but was willing to offer advice. Which was that the fan was bad. And thus sold us a fan that would work, plus a capacitor for just the fan. Whee. I seem to have caught another cold, so I hid in the bath tub. But now the calming cool air is blowing. And I have had the first of the garden melon.

Yay! Not a trivial thing this summer.

We were spoiled last year, with July and August being so reasonable. This year, while the heat is normal for here, the humidity has been insane. My purse and shoes have been mildewing, something I haven't had to deal with since I lived in Japan.
