I am trying to find reasons to like Kerry, and not vote for him just because he is not Bush (a valid reason). I actually like his wife for her sometimes over the top bluntness, but I think I like Kerry's cousin even more. http://www.salon.com/news/feature/2004/10/28/kerry_cousin/index.html

Reasons to vote for Kerry? He married money twice. No matter what side of the issue you stand he is with you. He is an opportunist. His wife forgets that not everyone manages a large trust fund(a job?) and actually works(librian and teacher). Difference of opinion and that is why we live in this great nation.

Actually, I see more difference in his professed platform and Bush's than there was in the last presidential election. I personally see him as a politician who actually looks into the details, not just make decisions on faith. Nor do I view No Child Left Behind as the solution to any problem Bush hasn't got a clue on. Especially since while I agree a national education policy is a good idea, the details weren't all thought through, because it's right.

As for Teresa's comment about Laura, I still like her, because it is obvious she is not the politician in the couple (unlike much maligned Hilary). And while she has quite a bit of money, she also married into it and Kerry comes from plenty on his own. And she speaks five languages, and seen a bit more of extreme poverty growing up as a bush doctor's daughter than Laura did, even if she didn't live in it.

Sometimes you cannot anaylze things to death. If you do, you see the same answer a million ways and get nothing done. You must have faith in yourself or you get bogged down in details and never can complete a task. The most intelligent and richest people with all the advantages in life have no more insight into life than the guy who works down at the corner gas station. I never profess to know what someone has gone through in life. All I can see is the end result of the person. Like I stated-it is a great nation when everyone can have their opinion.

Kerry is dangerous. Bush has conviction in his decisions. He did not downsize our intelligence - Democrats did. I also do not think we have to be best friends with all other countries - especially as a taxpayer. If they don't want to support the U.S. - fine - don't come begging for help when their country is attacked. I say close the borders and open oil drilling in Alaska and see how long it will take for the Arabs to take care of their terrorist groups - they love U.S. dollars. I don't care if Mexicans come here to work illegally. At least they appreciate the chance to work and appreciate this country and they are honest people and don't blow us up. I say let all Arab speaking countries educate their own college aged kids and do not let them into the country. Let them help themselves. I hate the French too - arrogant chickenshits.
