Other People's Holidays
Oct. 13th, 2004 08:59 amI do recommend Nova Scotia in fall for vacations. I flew in Thursday night with Tom, and stayed at a cheap backpacker's hostel, in the bad part of town. Which isn't that bad. We wandered about Friday, then I talked with Dr. Gosse about grad programs here. I set up a meeting with another professor in the department on Tuesday morning. Then got spoiled with beer, dinner and dessert. I think I can get into the geology program here. I am still trying to convince Tom that he has to move here, to support me. And take care of the cats during field season.
We've been driving the back roads for the last couple of days. Spent one night camping. Then the rain started (a few minutes after we struck camp), we stayed at a nice hotel the other couple of nights. I have been taking full advantage of the new memory card for my camera, so I shall set up a page for you to see them all when I get back. Pretty, especially if you like fall foliage.
Found out Dad got in an accident, so I worry. Four cows!
And leather pants are comfy if they are not tight. They keep me warm. And are part of my traditional wear.
