I seem to love writing/making up words with suffixes. I'm not sure if it is right, but it makes sense to me.
Last week's leftover lentil soup is in the freezer for future nommings. The chicken is stripped, the meat is divided into meal sized servings in the freezer, and the carcass is simmering on the stove to make stock. Also, the beans for next week's soup are also simmering (because it is just as easy to watch two pots as one).

I have my meals for next week planned out. I am trying to get the items in the freezer and the pantry down to just the very essentials. For some reason, I like the look of minimally stocked shelves and fridges.
The most exotic thing on my meal plan is braised celery. 0_o I am trying to cut down on my meat consumption after I realized that I ate meat/protein at almost every meal. Eek!

Since I put in a can of cream of mushroom soup, I didn't really get stock in the crockpot. And I figured that making some with the carcass wouldn't be much extra work since I was already boiling beans on the stove. Not sure what I'll do with it; it will probably haunt me in the freezer like every other chicken stock I've made (
