I Was Bored So I Called the Cops
There has been a car parked on the road in front of my house since I got back from Minnesota. At first I ignored it (there's enough road). Then I noticed it had a flat tire, and continued to ignore it. Then I noticed both the mirrors were broken, so continued to ignore it. Finally, this morning I noticed that the tags were expired. And I was feeling restless after meeting with my adviser (don't want to work, but didn't want to just sit and read).
So I asked the neighbors if they knew anything about the car. Everyone assumed it was someone else's (usually mine, as it is in front my house).
So I called the nonemergency police number. Then a cop showed up, and I poked my head out to talk to him. Then another cop showed up, and the street was blocked. Finally, I got a knock on the door. Apparently suspicious car was stolen. One cop is fetching the owner, and car will likely be towed soon.
Cheap amusement.
