Omens in the Flight of Birds
Aug. 8th, 2008 05:19 pmRan across a paranoid posting this afternoon. The thesis was that the US was planning in invading Iran, and we had the gotten the Georgians to distract Russia. Proof of this was the build up of four naval battlegroups in the Gulf.
Of coarse, we've left a couple of battlegroups in the Gulf since the invasion. And periodically other battlegroups go to the Gulf in order to relief those already there. Not as big of a deal as you think.
So it got me thinking about what I observed, and what I would consider signs of imminent invasion. Turns out you need to watch the small ships. Like the USS Walnut - a buoytender that JSM passed on the way. Or the small salvage ship (forgot name). Or all the MSC ships (well, not really small, but not tracked as much). Or when ships go on deployment outside the normal cycle.
