Using the Power of the Internets
Jul. 19th, 2008 09:22 amA couple of days ago, I followed a random link (from a nonlocal) to a website for a guy running for a seat in the Kansas House. A random mid thirties white guy, not terribly new. Except he's a computer guy, and knows the internet. So he has an XKCD style comic asking for donations. And the internet references are right (and the feel is almost XKCD). And now his site has hit fark.
In other news, didn't go biking in Johnson Country, because at six I had a headache. But it was under control by 8, so did the garage sales/farmers' market via bike. More garage sales than usual, I think because move day is coming. At the farmers market I got lemonade, bagels, corn, eggplants, shallots and garlic. Garage sale purchases included a bag of sewing notions, an old anime tape for Naka, a cool letter opener, a shirt and a Singer tiny serger. I doubt the serger has much power and it is missing the foot pedal, but I'm just interested in playing around with it.
