Fiber Thursday
Dec. 6th, 2018 08:59 pmMaybe Thursday is better for fiber posts? First Thursday of the month is the spin in at the local shop, and I keep meaning to go to the knitting on the second and fourth Thursdays...
Knitting: Still on first Targhee socks. I really spun this thin, so should rip it out and knit with smaller needles. On the other hand, the socks are almost done. I've been very blah on the van, so haven't done much recently on them.
I'm almost done with the pink monstrosity. It's knee length, so I should probably just finish it. Instead I've been trying to finish the UFO sweater. Maybe I can get it done before the fiber guild party next Friday. Down to basically just the sleeves.
Spinning: Working on the lichen Targhee into sock yarn. I'm on the third single. I'd planned to take it to the spin in, but I was feeling lazy so took my latest spindle and one of the wool cupcakes. It is unknown fiber and I'm glad I'm not doing a full bump of it because... ack.
I'm trying to plot what to spin next. I've got two four day weekends coming up soon, so I'd like to see if I could bust out a sweater's worth. Either the burning maids project, or the Polwarth green/purple.
