Things I Did Not Expect

Buddy's best friend in the house is Bear. They're currently playing some cat game that involves running towards and away from each other. And meowing at each other. I'm ruling it a game due to their postures. Lju is off to the side, looking kind of sad that her brother has a new playmate, and its that annoying interloper.

Buddy is our new cat, inherited* from Lawnchair's mother. We brought him to Lawrence with her to keep her company, with a home arranged in case he didn't fit in. He did a wonderful job of keeping N company her last weeks, and integrated with the rest. And now Lawnchair and I are crazy cat people, with an average of 2.5 cats per person.

*We gave the another of N's cats to my parents last weekend. They seem to like her, though their other cats don't yet. Turns out Sunshine's growl is melodic. Damn funny sounding.

Me Again

Headache is gone. As it is Sunday, time to prep for the next week of work. Since I didn't do more than a load last week and some has hacked up two hairballs in the bed, my major task is laundry. Two loads of blankets and one load of sheets already done. Something like five loads of clothes and another sheets to go, so I doubt I'll get it all done today. I'm prioritizing my own clothes, Lawnchair has plenty.

Liveblogging My Day

I might be a bit lonely, as I have the house to myself (well, me and five cats), and none of my planned socializing last week worked out. I have decided that I'm done with laundry for the day. All my clothes and bedding is clean, and has filled up the clothes line. Lawnchair's dryer repairs seem to have worked, but that doesn't mean I have to use it.
