Brain Picking

Any one know a lot about septic systems and alternatives. I suspect my realty agent does not know what she is talking about, and I need to ask some questions. The county plans she dug up has no septic tank listed, and that makes no sense to me. Any one know enough to know if this is possible and or workable?
