Soup Addiction
Nov. 7th, 2004 12:48 pmI think I'll admit I have gotten addicted to making soups. I'm still finishing off my Underground Soup, and I think it is getting better get day. Thicker, at least. Biked a bit yesterday, but wasn't really in the mood. Sat in the park and read, and chatted with a wandering guy. I love Lawrence, but I miss the constant random companions of backpacking. I need a job to meet people, and so I have enough money to travel next summer. I think I want a Zaurus now, good for showing off pictures, wireless internet, MP3s and eBooks. I have to see if I like reading off one first, though. Oh, and PDA sized, running Linux.
So in the evening, I went over and did laundry. Had to run up Iowa for quarters (love the new Iowa quarter, school house!), ran into one of my neighbors. Figured since we were there, buy some stuff at the Merc. I bought rather more than I planned. I usually don't bother with organic food if it more expensive, they had some stuff I needed. Bought sushi rice (shorter and fatter than normal white rice). Yellow split peas were on sale, so I got some of them, green ones and red lentils. I figure I will make a nice festive soup next. As soon as I finish the current pot.
Oh, and currently making cookies to angsty chick music.
