Crafting is Fun

Made it to jewelry class last night, after missing the last two weeks. I missed milling and flat rings. Yesterday's class was on bezel setting of stones. Lucky me, I'd bought a cabochon last weekend at the bead store. Sad me, I realized that small stones are really hard to make bezels for. Lucky me, I'd thrown some broken jewelry in my tool bag, including a ring where the stone had fallen out. At first the stone didn't quite fit, but while fidgeting with a sharpie, I knocked loose the odd spacer that was in the bottom. Then perfect fit. Fixed a $15 ring with a $1 stone. I also made some more toggle clasps, and showed off the necklace I'd made when sick.

KCCG meeting tonight, and hopefully a make up jewelry session tomorrow evening. Happiness.
