lawnchair taught me how to cook mac and cheese a year ago. I returned the favor recently with grilled cheese. See, I watched him make one for me last month, and teased him for buttering the side of the bread next to the cheese. He claimed that's just how he did it. I teased him about it again yesterday, and learned that he now butters the outside of the sandwich. He'd known butter was involved somehow in grilled cheese, but that not that it crisped the outside. Silly boy.

I've finally figured out how much TV he watches, shut up in his room. As our only TV is in the living room, he uses my old portable DVD player as a screen. Today, he watched it in the living room as I was in the bath. Now, I'm watching a ballroom dance competition, and marveling at the dresses. So sparkly and intricate.
