affrecaMade a 1/4 batch for myself, and a 1/2 batch for Curt's Christmas gift.
Curt's Magic Potion
1.5 c fresh mint leaves
3 c 80 proof vodka (I used Smirnoff red label)
Wash mint leaves, cut off stems. Chop coarsely. Add mint leaves and vodka to washed glass jar. Put lid on tightly and steep in dark location for 48 hours. Strain out leaves through muslin. Then strain through 1 coffee filter.
1 c granulated sugar
1/2 c water
Put water and sugar in small pot, heat until sugar is dissolved. Cool, add to mint liquor. Pour into bottle, cap tightly. Leave until clear (I'm guessing - no longer cloudy, should still be green). Drink in hot chocolate or other mixed drinks.
