Wonderful Weather
Apr. 29th, 2007 07:19 pmThis has been a great weekend, despite my random pain. I managed to get up early yesterday in order to indulge in my favorite relationship bonding experience. Or one of them.
lawnchair attached the trailer to his bike, and I strapped on my bike grocery bag. We biked about 10 miles, stopping a variety of garage sales and the farmer's market. We totally filled the carrying, and had a long handle sticking out by the end. The haul included - leather shoes for Lilies, a leather purse, a new belt, leather saddle bags, Coleman stove, lawn scissors with handle, DSL modem, candy flower molds, lots of soup sized tupperwares, sheep cheese and asparagus. I managed to fall into a hole, bruising my ankle but not twisting my ankle
I then got a call from my GPR partner, wanting to put off our school work so he could define his garden with rocks. Then wandered two blocks to move Jenna's plants outside. This required five people, as I have bushes smaller than most of her houseplants. I managed to tweak my back.
I came home a laid about for a while. Mel came over for web help, and brought soup. I ended up not going to a party, since moving was difficult. Instead, I ate Monterey Jack and apples on crackers, with peach wine.
Headache when I woke, though the back was better. Put off GPR for another four hours. Sleeping wasn't helping, so I tried working to get better. So LC and I went back to the greenhouse for more peppers and tomatoes. Just about every plant is a different variety. I made a map of them, so we can figure out which ones we like for next year.
Then off for GPR work. I think I'm done, except for making the actually powerpoint and paper. Came home and made Midwestern Enchiladas for dinner. Which included my first taste of my garden - lettuce on the top of the enchiladas.
What nice weekend.
Edited While I was off crunching numbers, LC was making money with my tiller. $75 to go till up a garden. Yeah!! Paid for the repairs.
