A Good Day

affrecaToday has been pretty good. Well, last night was nice, to. I sat outside and read while my kitties (three of the four) played in the front yard. Later, I sat and chatted with the neighbors and met their new puppy. Shadow is a border collie/lab mix. Dogs don't get friendlier than that. I'm jealous, they are getting chickens soon (though no rooster). Surprised that the city allows chickens. Apparently you can have up to six. We don't have the room, or someone to take care of them when we're gone. Oh, and their cat is pregnant. Kittens!!
I woke up today with a slight headache. Opened the new ibuprofen bottle. We headed over to Shawnee Mission this morning to our favorite stores on Metcalf. We got to Microcenter to early, so headed over to Half-Price books first. I spent to much. I bought 6 paperbacks (I know have all five books of the first Amber series, now just need books 2 and 5 of the second series), 2 manga (Banner of the Stars I and II, since I love the anime), 2 movies on clearance (Bedazzled and Sneakers) and Werewolf tribe books. Bought a few beads at the Bead Store, but not much since I haven't made much recently. Got random stuff at Microcenter. The final stop was new to us, the Oriental Supermarket. Saw things I haven't seen in years, including Kewpie mayo. I got bean paste pastries to satisfy my newest addiction. We also bought several cans of Thai curry paste of differing types.
Then we biked to Haskell and did some geocaching. There were three in on the Haskell campus and Broken Arrow park. I left a button, a little Japanese man and some rocks. I got a dog/llama figure and a Operation Provide Comfort patch. Neato.
Cooked spring rolls. About to start on curry. Happiness.
