Finally, my super sekrit recipe. So sekrit, I had to recreate it. I think this is right.
1 egg
1 c butter (
lawnchair convinced me real is better, and I'm worth it)
3/4 c white sugar
3/4 c brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract (see comment about butter)
Mix in large bowl until smooth. Works better if you remember to leave the butter out to soften. Otherwise, 20 s in the microwave softens, but unevenly. Offer beaters to lurking boy. You'll have the good stuff (dough) soon enough.
1 c flour
Find wooden spoon or spatula. Add flour to bowl.
2 1/2 c oatmeal (regular or quick, both work)
Pour last of tub of oatmeal into bowl. Thankfully we finally remember to get more last time at the grocery store. Mix. This is why you need the wooden handle. It fits, really.
1 bag real semisweet chocolate chips (or dark, if you found some on sale)
1 cup walnut pieces
Back to the stirring. Try to get chocolate evenly distributed. Spoon tablespoon sized chunks onto cookie sheet. Do not squeeze, plop. Cook until golden (10? 15? min.. depends on if you remember to preheat the oven) at 350F. Let cool and eat with milk. Dunking is highly important.
