I'm Getting Old
Oct. 7th, 2006 11:20 amStaying up on Saturdays is getting harder to deal with come Sunday. Last night was my turn to host the gaming group, and I got several compliments on the house. Which is nice, because I had cleaned it. I also got to loan out several books, and impressed a fellow bibliophile (the type to have the hots for Maggie from RoD). There were some allergy issues, but everyone was nice about the excessive cat hair. So I've invited everyone over in two weeks for burning of the weed pile and DVD watching (I suggested 90s vampire TV shows).
Yesterday was shopping adventure. I wanted to check out the Japan fest in JoCo, so I conned Tom into a run over there. We stopped at the city garage sale in Tonganoxie, but I did not find anything I wanted. Well, I wanted a bow, but none of the ones for sale were light enough for me. Pretty, though. If they had been cheaper, and I knew more about bows, I would have picked them up for others. The haul from JoCo stops inclued 4 oz of Penzy's Turkish spice, 2 books, cantalope, eggplant, apples (from the OP farmer's market), and some beads. Not that much, but a good trip. I called Robin to invite her out to Japan fest, but she was sick (not a surprise).
Finally planted bulbs. I shall slowly better the border around the bulbs as I bring home rocks from the rock pile behind Lindley and field trips. We picked up city mulch and Tom paid a guy to till a couple of patches for gardening in the spring. I love this place.
