When the Storm Comes

Just to prove I don't always complain about the weather, it was cool this morning. The fellow trying to paint our place taped up all the windows yesterday in preperation for painting (almost all the windows, for some reason he forgot some). Then he left. Wouldn't be a problem if we had centeral air. Nope. Didn't do anything about it last night, since it was ridicoulously hot, I was staying in my bedroom (the one with AC). But when I was woken up by the storm, and realize how cool it was, the plastic was "blown loose in the storm". So nice to have storm air blowing into my room. I still think he should have asked, thought about taping over all the windows, but he isn't always the brightest bulb in the bunch. And I made sure the cats weren't over heating. Barry was the only one who looked peaked, and so I swept him up, until he asked to leave.

Because yesterday was fucking hot. I got up early and rode the bus downtown for the sidewalk sale. I found some great deals. I could have looked longer, but the crowds and heat sapped my patience. I got a bitty purple dress from the creation station for $15, a neat long sleeved biking jersey from Sunflower (I've been looking for one I like for a while), and a t-shirt with tropical frogs in a circle from the science store.

Well, I'm going to take a bath, then start up on packing again. Got a week to get moved out. Thankfully Dad's coming down to help. Nice to have more hands helping (and see Dad).

I love storms. We had a storm last night too. I thought it was a dream, but when I got up this afternoon it was COOL outside! NO MORE BLISTERING HEAT!!! YAY!
