What to Do With Sheep Cheese

Woke up early and rode the tandem bike to the farmer's market. We have a lot of produce already, but I had to go back to the guy with mullet dreadlocks for more tasty strawberries. We then went out on our distance bikes (I wanted to test out Nephrite with the packs) to hit some garage sales. Nothing much, I ended with a purple leather knotwork minibinder. Hmm.. But it was $0.25 and benefiting a woman paying for her kidney transplant.
Last night we (by we I mean
lawnchair) cooked corn on the cob and roasted asparagus. Today I made up a recipe (Anatolian Pizza) for lunch. Numminess. Both use some of the tasty sheep cheese I bought at from the wonderful Lebanese woman with the tastiest lemonaid at the Farmer's Market (lemonaid with rosewater.. awesome). Recipes are behind the cut, since this is becoming a food blog way to fast.
Roasted Asparagus
1 lb asparagus
3-4 cloves garlic (hey, why not add even more? nummy garlic)
olive oil
Cut woody ends off asparagus and lay out on cooking sheet. Cut up garlic (or dump it out of the garlic jar), put on asparagus and drizzle with oil. Bake at 400 (F), partially turning every few minutes. When the asparagus starts to look brown you have about 5 minutes left.
1 oz sheep cheese (or Biscuit's mother's wonderful goat cheese if you can get it, or any goat cheese)
1/2 tsp rosemary (fresh if you can get it, I might have to get a plant, I had to use dried)
1/2 tsp chives (or green onion tops if you don't have chives. another spice to start growing)
1/4 c chopped walnuts
Mix. Dump over asparagus and cook for another few minutes. Take out and sprinkle with lemon juice. Kiss the nice cook.
Anatolian Pizza
1 slice pita bread
1 oz sheep cheese (similiar to above, I think mild goat cheese would be just as good)
seasame seeds
Penzeys Spices Turkish Seasoning
Smush sheep cheese on pita bread. Sprinkle heavily with Turkish Seasoning (after savoring the wonderful smell) and seasame seeds (after chasing the cats with the jar, declaring open seasame). Bake on cooking sheet for about 10 minutes at 400 (F). I will admit that the recipe was inspired by last week's stop at Penzeys Spice store and some Zaatar Pizza we ate at Rumi's.
