I shouldn't be amused, but the idea of USCG in the Persian/Arabian Gulf still amuses me. Even though I know why, and have seen them there (actually, I'm not sure why we still have cutters in the Gulf, as we aren't stopping all shipping traffic to Iraq anymore). I'm glad they did help save lives though, if not everyone.
