Adventures in Cooking
Mar. 17th, 2006 08:42 pmI really need to go grocery shopping. I have nothing in the house to eat, but we're leaving tomorrow for a week road trip to Georgia. So to the back of the cupboards. To the Knorr soup I've been hoarding for almost 2 years. You just can't find corn chowder in the US. Not sure why you can find it everywhere in Japan, but you can. Now, the only words on the package I can read are "Knorr is a registered trademark of Knorr Naehrmittel AG", so it is a bit of a trick to figure out how to prepare it. Thankfully, I am ready for illiteracy, and can cook by picture. And recognize that it involves adding 150 mL (in romanji) white liquid (milk?) to the powder and stirring.
Sadly, that was the last of my Japanese soup. I am sad. But no longer hungary.
Oh, go Jayhawks. Let's get through the first round this year. Watching as I write. This is the only time of year I care about any sport. A girl can hope for a day off of school to celebrate.
