Writing Hard
Dec. 10th, 2005 07:21 pmI've put off writing both papers until this weekend. I'm mostly done with my hydrology paper. Partially because I'm reusing large parts of my Matanuska research for this paper. And I don't care about it being really good, since I'm getting a pretty good grade currently. I just need to get about 50% to get an A. Whatever.
I spent part of my day fixing clothes. I restitched the index finger of my gloves, sewed a button on a pair of khakis, darned my cashmere sweater, darned Tom's sweater, and switched out half the buttons on my bridge coat (to make it less Navy, and so I could get to the left pocket, which had been blocked by the buttons sewn through the pocket).
And I sold books. I took the good half of my throw out pile to Dusty Bookshelf, and got $34 of store credit. None of which I used, since they didn't half the three books I was looking for (including the Blue Sword, which I wanted because I dreamed it was made into a terrible children's film, with Harrimad becoming a young girl, and the love story dropped). I then went to Half-Price bookstore, which bought the other half of the box for $3.50. And still, no Blue Sword.
EDIT: Thanks to Amazon's used books, I now have Robin McKinley's Blue Sword on order. I highly recommend it to anyone who apppreciates strong fighter women books.
