Some Days
Actually yesterday. I was so excited by planning, I forgot to mention how my day went yesterday. I woke up to the possiblities of storms. Despite the obvious line of rain on the radar, I biked to work, and made it in a couple of minutes before the heavens opened up. The weather was calm, but by the time I was ready to go home, another storm was on its way. I decided to try it. I would have made it home fine, if I hadn't decided to pedal as fast as could down hill. Then turn. Then realize I wasn't going to be going the right way before I ran out of pavement, so braked. And crashed. After brushing myself off, I tried to get back on. But the back tire just wasn't turning well. It kept hitting one side or the other of the back brake. A little off the true. So, I called home. I had two offers of rides home by the time Tom showed up. Two minutes later, buckets of water started falling. Serious rain. I now have a pair of ugly bruises on the back of my knees and a honey-do project for next weekend (he has some final papers to write this weekend but this will keep him out of trouble when I'm gone next weekend). And hopefully the knees will be better by Anna's wedding, else I shall have to look for a longer dress. I fear the rainbow would clash with my little pink number.
